With the FEU Folk Dance Group as its forerunner, the FEU Dance Company is itself a legacy of the University's wise, pioneering administrators. The Folk Dance Group was conceptualized in 1957 by National Artist for Literature Alejandro Roces. The FDC won the 2014 Folk Dance Competition sponsored by the Bayanihan National Folk Dance Company in the Cultural Center of the Philippines which paved the way for their participating in the Cheonan World Folk Dance Competition in Korea in October, 2015. Eventually, the FDC won third place in the Cheonan Dance Competition, folk dance category.Today's FDC continues to win awards and adeptly performs almost every dance genre possible, from folk, jazz and ballet to ballroom and hiphop.
