The Company started out as the Leyte Filipiniana Dance Troupe, founded in 1960, by Teresita Veloso Pil. The Leyte Kalipayan Dance Company has been dancing for 57 years across the globe at various folklore festivals, and cultural missions, promoting the rich and authentic tradition and heritage of the Philippines in Europe, United States, and South East Asia.
