The Locsin Dance Workshop has been known to hone dancers and fuel their love for dance, and the annual Summer Workshop has paved the way to nurture more students on the path of discovery, expression, and later on, discourse through movement. The Summer Workshop has also become the training ground for the senior Locsin Dance students to become dance mentors and dance-makers. The Summer Dance Workshop traditionally ends with a showcase, which brings together the different dance styles taught during the summer. The showcase themes range from Philippine Myths to popular culture, many times fusing the two, and in these productions, we see definitions and re-definitions of our identity as Filipinos rooted in tradition but immersed in urbanity.
