Visayas State University Dance Company is a performing arts group dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Filipino culture through its repertoire of traditional/cultural dances. It is composed of students and faculty from various colleges in the University. The group is under the umbrella of Culture and Arts Center, Visayas State University, Visca, Baybay City, Leyte; it now serves as the cultural arm of the University through its cultural performances. Because of its significant contribution in spreading the Filipino culture, Visayas State University Dance Company is considered among the premier performing arts group in the Province of Leyte, and even in the Eastern Visayas (Region 8) as a whole. Visayas State University Dance Company will remain steadfast in its commitment to bring pride to our nation and continue preserving, promoting and enriching the legacy of the Filipino culture for the community and the world.
